The IP address geolocation data we show on our site comes from third parties. We do not maintain our own database.
The geolocation information shown will most likely not be 100% accurate. As discussed throughout this site, the information of an IP Address geolocation tool, at best, is going to get you to the city level. If you lookup your IP address and the city you live in is not shown, but the city where your ISP is located does, then your IP address geolocation data is about as accurate as it's going to get.
If the information our third parties show is extremely off, like a different state or country, perhaps you should follow the instructions below to get the geolocation data corrected.
To update this information, first visit our IP Address Lookup page to determine if both third parties are incorrect. If both parties are incorrect then you'll need to contact each provider separately.
I'm sure they'll be grateful if you contact them with the correct information. Our site will show the updated information about 1 month after you've given the correct information to the below providers and confirm the updates are published on their sites.
