I've joined a Windows 7 pc to Windows xp Active Directory domain account through Wi-Fi, but I'm unable to access the Internet on the Windows 7 pc. How would I be able to access the Internet? I'd be grateful if someone could help me out.

I'm not sure I understand. Windows XP doesn't control the Active Directory to my knowledge. The AD is controlled at server level.

The means in which you connect (wired or wi-fi) shouldn't matter as long as whatever is controlling DHCP assigns the Win 7 pc an IP address.

Does the AD have a Group Policy that would've been pushed to the Win 7 pc that would impact the internet connection?

Can you ping other computers on the network?

Can you ping the gateway IP?
