What settings to use in NVR for static IP?

howard leeming asked 10 months ago

I have a cctv system that I can connect to remotely using a dynamic IP of  [IP removed]. The IPv4 in the NVR is set to 192.168.1.124. I want to get the remote to work using our static IP of [IP removed]. What do i need to change in the NVR network config to get this to work?

Hi Howard. You shouldn't need to change anything in the NVR. The NVR needs to be connected on the network that uses the IP address to which you wish to connect. Once the NVR is connected to the network that uses the IP ending in .234, you'll need to go to the router that controls the ports for .234 and forward those to the 192.168.1.124 as you've done in the router that controls the ports for the .76 IP address. I removed the IP addresses you posted in your question to help protect your connection. -Brian
