Virus Infection

Carlos Cebrian asked 2 years ago

On June my PC was invaded by a virus (probably Rombertik or similar). I could not eliminate it.
On August  I moved of house and address. I hired a new ADSL / fiber optic line with the same ISP company and installed a new PC (clean). Instantly my PC was invaded again by same virus. Again, I could not eliminate it.
I think I've been caught by a cybercriminal from a remote server since the first time. It does not matter to change of PC over and over because  he can identify my IP address and invade my PC every time through the router. I consider that the most important first action is to disconnect from the remote server. I do not know how to avoid he knows my location ( IP address). Can anyone advise me? Thanks in advance.

Are you 100% you had/have a virus? What antivirus software do you have installed? Did the software flag and isolate the virus?

There are third party software programs that could be detected as a virus by antivirus software even though they are not viruses. If you're using the same third party software on your clean pc as you were the 'infected' PC, my guess is that it's one of those vs. an actual virus or an attack by a cyber criminal.

Are you using the same router from the old connection to the new connection? Perhaps your router was flashed with software that allows access.
