I have a Linksys WRT54GL router using firmware version 4.30.5 my router setup is DHCP. It is connected to two Hawkings Internet cameras 300N. I have been able to view my cameras over the internet inside and outside my home. I was always assigned an IP address for the router starting at 126.96.36.199 now I have been assigned an IP address like 188.8.131.52. Now, I can only view my camera from home. I made my IP address change but it changed to another high IP address 184.108.40.206 and I still cannot view my cameras from outside my home. Has anyone else had this problem? Or can anyone give me some advice on how I can correct it. I attempted to get my IP to reset again, but it would not reset.
Sounds like your ISP has shortened the lease time on your IP address....hence it changing more frequently.
The best thing to do at this point is to probably sign up for something like www.no-ip.com and have a psuedo domain name where you'll always be able to get to your cams no matter your IP.
