hi new to forum my problem is i have friends that are receiveing emails from me that i did not send and when they open up they get a virus. the email says that it is coming from me with my email name. friend traced it back cause he received one from me i didnt send and thought i had a virus but when i gave him my ip he said that it looked like someone was spoofing me. what can i do. some of my friends get 2-3 aday. supposely comming from an at&t provider. thanks

You've got malware installed and it's automatically sending emails on your behalf. You need to run a program like Spybot to scan and clean your system.

If the emails are not actually coming from your email account, then someone *is* spoofing you. If you know the originating service (for example, it's a Yahoo server), then you might try contacting the postmaster for that service, and they might do something about it.

Or not. Unfortunately, there are unscrupulous server operators out there that cater to these kinds of shenanigans.
