Frequently I have been having the following problem:
SECURE CONNECTION FAILED
The Connection to netflix.com (it can be any site it's done it for yahoo, amazon etc..) was interrupted while page was loading
The page you are trying to viwe can not be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified
When this happens sometimes I can still browser other sites, sometimes
I get the Hmmmm message unable to connect and I can't view any sites unless I completely reset my PC. This usually clears the issue and I can view the pages that I was being told had a problem before resetting
Also frequently I get the following email error when attempting to send:
An error occurred while sending mail
The mail server responded 5.7.1 unable to accept email from your location (IP [REMOVED]) at this time Please try again later ERROR CODE 80
Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.
I also at these time I occasionally get
HOT SPOT SHIELD
Data Limit Reached
You have used 100% of you data plan
None of this makes sense.
I have run AVAST Full Scans and Boot-time scans. I have also run
Spy-Bot and haven't found any issues.
I have run WHATISMYIP and found the following oddities.
When checking right after a power up I find my IP info as follows
My Local IP is: 192.168.1.14
My Public IPV4 is: [REMOVED]
My IPV6 is: Not Detected
Location: Jackson, NJ US
Which I believe to be normal.
When things are messed up as described in the beginning, I find the following
My Local IP is: 192.168.1.14 (okay)
However my Public IPV4 can be anything ( i.e. [REMOVED] )
My Pulic IPV6 is now showing: [REMOVED]
Location: (Changes ) Last one was South Carolina
Hot spot shield is a VPN provider. You should either disable or uninstall if you're not using. That should clear up your issues.
Are you saying you think Hot Spot Shield is causing the security issue and the email issue also?
When I first boot up things are fine, if I don't do anyting else for a long time, just let my PC sit there,
eventually I will see that the IPV4 is different, my IPV6 has data when it didn't have any on boot up
and my location is not my true location.
Thanx, btw, for you quick response concerning Hot Spot Shield. I don't use it that I know of unless it is used by the TOR browser that I sometime try when my subscription services omit a video in the middle of a series video. I most always use Firefox
Yes, I think hot spot shield could be causing the issues. However, now that you mention TOR, that could be causing the issues as well. The next time you get the error, disable both and see if the error goes away.
Looks like Hot Spot Shield was the problem.
Don't know how it got installed, unless it was one of those programs that sneakily get installed along with another program. Maybe I missed the super small opt-out check box or something.
Anyway, thanks so much for the fast replies and solution!!!!
