I have a question regarding a relative. He's currently in Denver for his work and when he's sending me emails the X-originating-ip (hotmail) is the same. It's the same in the USA and in Holland (where we live). When he's sending email with his iPad its also the same ip. I dont get that!
Is it possible to have the same X-originating-IP in different countries?
Thanks for your question jp193.
When you log in to Hotmail through your browser and send an email, the email is actually originating from the Hotmail server, NOT the IP address you are accessing Hotmail from. Therefore it won't matter where you are physically, the Hotmail Email Server IP is always the same.
