If you're going through a Remote Access Server (RAS) to connect to the internet, you'll need to contact your network support person in order to help you complete the connection.

However, if you're trying to connect through a standard cable modem/router connection, I would suggest connecting your PC directly to the modem/router. Reboot each device starting with the modem/router. Once both devices are booted up, try again. If you're still unable to establish a connection, it could be that your PC isn't being properly assigned an IP address. If that's not the case, you'll need to contact your ISP to make sure your modem/router is configured correctly and actually connected to the internet. If it is properly connected and the issue is specifically on your end, try a different device. Does the modem/router have wifi? If so and it's enabled, try connecting via that method. If it works, then this points back to your PC not being properly assigned an IP address. Go to your Network Connection settings and make sure DHCP is enabled for TCP/IP.

If it still doesn't work then check on the proxy setting of your internet in the browser.
