I've used the guide on how to change my ip from the website and it didn't work for me I once knew how to change my IP but forgot and am desperate to change it any suggestions on how to will be greatly appreciated.

Your ISP may have changed its lease times on IP addresses so you may not be able to change it now. My guess is that if you're using the same/similar methods as in the past and the IP isn't changing, it's out of your hands.
