I have set up a home linux server with apache2 web server and some other stuff. I have created a DNS profile that seem to work. as it gives the right IP when i use 'dig address'. all seems fine when i use it on the local network but when i try to ping, ssh, curl from a remote host it just times out.. i have done all the port forwarding needed so i just can't figure out what is wrong plz help🙂 ..

What flavor of Linux are you running? Ubuntu, CentOS, Gentoo, Arch, etc?

Is it using a GUI or are you using console only?

Is the Linux Machine able to reach the Internet? Try to ping something like yahoo.

Are you able to ping or SSH to the server from inside your LAN?

Are you sure you have enabled "Port Forwarding" not "Port Triggering"?
