IP won’t load.

Bunchiepie87 asked 3 years ago

I play Minecraft and i'm trying to make a server, so I have to port forward. So I looked up how and it says I have to enter my IP in the url bar thing (XD) but whenever I try to do that (and it's not just on Chome, it's on Firefox and IE too) it won't load. If i leave it for a few minutes it comes to a page that says "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to ". It does it every single time I try it. I don't understand why. 😕

Thanks for your question Bunchiepie87.

A lot of routers don't have what is referred to as a loopback which means you can not connect from your local area network to your external IP address. If there is an option in the router setup for the loopback, turn it on.
