IP probleams

ok i am new at this

I'm with Godaddy.COM i use there dns to forward my public ip address but it goes to Verizon my internet provider.

and when i use my ip address and forward it to my server I'm hosting i see my website, but when i go on another PC in my house, my website dnt come up when i search using Google. i dnt know what i did wrong please help

When did you make the site live? Google's search bot may not have come by to crawl your site just yet so it won't show up.

If you go to Google and search for the full domain name and it is listed then you're not ranking for your keywords.....and that's a whole different ball of wax. In order to learn more about this you'll need to find information about Search Engine Optimization or SEO.

I think you're running into a limitation of Address Translation. It's the function (most likely) that lets multiple computers in your house use the Internet at the same time.

Basically, Godaddy DNS says your Web site is xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, but when you go out to the Internet, you, too, are seen as that same address. Address translation doesn't do well in this situation. It usually requires special setups in DNS inside the local network.
