tvee asked 2 years ago

Hi everyone,

My cable router modem default IP is 192.168.0.1 but my escam brick QD300 default IP is 192.168.1.10
How do I configure the router or the ip camera to be on the same network ? I did tried to change the router default IP to 192.168.1.1 but it doen't work as it conflict with the guest network assigned to 192.168.1.1
How do I fix that issue ? Please help

Hi tvee. Thanks for your question.

I would not change the default IP of the router as it may mess up other devices on your network.

Every security camera like this has a login. You may have to connect directly to the computer via USB or CAT5 cable initially to get the camera configured. Once connected, you can change the default IP on the camera from 192.168.1.10 to 192.168.0.nn (I suggest assigning it .20. If you get another camera, you can assign it .21, etc.).

If you're not able to connect to the camera from your computer, you'll need to assign a static IP to your computer in the same subnet as your camera. Example, assign your computer 192.168.0.9 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0 and gateway of 192.168.0.9. Once these inputs are accepted, you're on the same 'network' as the camera and should be able to login.
