i believe my router NAT's my private ip to public IP . So when the NATting is happening how can identify my real ip ?. Can you please explain how this webpage identify's my real ip ?.
Our homepage will show your public IP address. https://www.whatismyip.com/
As for your internal (private or Local) IP address, if you go to our homepage in FireFox, we show that information as well. If you don't have FireFox, the answer to this question will help you. https://www.whatismyip.com/questions/how-do-i-find-my-local-ip-address/
I know how to check my private ip. I wanted to know how did you manage to identify my private . ?. Because if I am accessing internet it will be Natted to public IP. So I want to how did you manage to find my private when I nat all traffic which is going out of my laptop to public IP ?
Zilga Zg. I'm so sorry. I didn't read the last part of your question. Thanks for replying and giving me the opportunity to answer.
We do this through browser tools available to us. Not all browsers support this detection method. Example, if you go to our homepage in Chrome, you won't see your Local IP because Chrome doesn't allow us to detect it. I don't want to say exactly how it's done because it's still somewhat a trade secret much like our public IP detection methods.
Thanks . You're answer made me think a lot . Finally found out . [content removed to protect our services]. I managed to block mine though . It was good learning . Thank you very much. Have a nice day
