Extending the distance of my router’s signal.

mpbalt12 asked 2 years ago

Hi, I'm new to IP Forum. The main reason I joined was to hopefully learn how to access my IP's website and change some settings on my router to hopefully extend the distance of the router's wireless signal. Any suggestions? While I'm very comfortable trying anything on a computer, my knowledge base is about a 4 on a scale of 1-100 😀 HA! Just kidding. 1-10. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks for your question mpbalt12.
I'm not sure what you mean by "access my IP's website"? Do you have a webserver setup at your location? If so, you need to forward port 80 in your router to the internal IP of the webserver.
As far as making changes to your router, that is all dependent on the make and model of the router and the firmware that is on it.
