Hi all,i gave away a computer and didnt think to change my googlemail password,i have changed it now but would the new owner have had acsess to my mail before changed it or would emails only come to my ip address? Thankyou in advance.
Thanks for your question Sweetpoison.
The shortest possible answer is YES. IF you had saved your password on the old computer, the person using it would have access to your gmail account. This is one of the greatest hazards of saving password.
As a Network Admin for several small companies, I ALWAYS setup the computers to remove ALL saved passwords every time the computer is rebooted or the browser is closed. They look to me for security on their network so, as the single responsible person, I allow absolutely no exceptions including on my own machines.
