Hi all!
I am trying to tie a couple of anonymous emails to (what I suspect) are being sent from someone already in my contacts. What I need to know is if the IP address of the anonymous emails will be exactly the same as a possible other account.
This is what I have so far...
2 Anonymous Emails were sent from:
2607:f8b0:400d:c04::22f
2607:f8b0:400d:c04::229
Contacts that I suspect may be involved:
I IP Address: 2607:f8b0:4001:c05::229
II IP Address: 2607:f8b0:4002:c07::22e
III IP Address: 2607:f8b0:400e:c03::229
IV IP Address: 2607:f8b0:400e:c02::22a
I would really appreciate any help.
Thank you in advance.
xoxo
Thanks for your question BabyDoll313.
The IP's you posted are IPv6 addresses all belonging to Google. IPv6 addresses are typically more specific then the IPv4 addresses. What that can mean is that a difference of a single digit will usually mean the senders are using different devices at least and probably from different locations although they are likely using the same ISP or IP pool.
In this case, all of these IP's originated from Google. Google hold so many IP's that the slight differences are enough that they do not indicate anything with regard to who sent them.
