different public ip addresses from different browsers

to know my public ip address i print "what is my ip" chrome gives me an ip and internet explorer gives me a different ip at the same instant why?

It could be for a couple of reasons.

1. When you type in 'what is my ip', Google will show you what they detect as your IP address. The issue is, we don't know how their code works to determine your IP address. We know how our code works and can only speak to ours specifically. To solve this, you should go to our homepage https://www.whatismyip.com in each browser to see if we show the same IP or different IP addresses.
