I have a fixed internet line directly coming to my place and plugged into my laptop. I have bought a Linksys WAG 160 N router.

How can I setup this wireless router to create a wireless network at my place? The fixed line which I have goes directly in the Ethernet ports (of the new router) only and I don

Thanks for your question mujawarwasim.

The WAG160N is not a "Router", it's a Wireless-N ADSL2+ Gateway. It will probably not work for you if you are in an apartment type dwelling that provides Internet by way of an Ethernet connection.

If you already have an ADSL Modem, the WAG160N is designed to replace it providing the Router functions and wireless capabilities. To replace an existing ADSL modem, you would need to know your ISP's login information. This is not the same information you use to log in to your computer or your modem user interface. Both the User Name and Password are assigned by the ISP and are not typically changeable by the user.
