.. well, here comes yet anther one...
some diagnostics first:
you say i am : 82.113.106.24
ipconfig(sorry, german output..):
PPP-Adapter Internet (Prepaid):
Verbindungsspezifisches DNS-Suffix:
IP-Adresse. . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.73.39.138
Subnetzmaske. . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
Standardgateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.73.39.138
pfportchecker says i am 10.73.39.138,
but all ports are closed.
i can ping 10.73.39.138 from my box.
i can access all tcp services running on my box
on that address, even from a virtual pc, but only if i try this from my machine.
i cannot ping 10.73.39.138 from a remote box.
i cannot ping 82.113.106.24 from anywhere.
if i tracert google.de, the first hops are:
1 1342 ms 245 ms 256 ms 82.113.103.169
2 231 ms 265 ms 255 ms 82.113.107.226
3 251 ms 248 ms 265 ms 82.113.103.26
4 264 ms 265 ms 266 ms IARFRA1-Gi0-2-199.net.de.o2.com [82.113.103.34]
so i assume, 82.113.106.24 is NOT my ip, but the first router of my isp (o2.com).
what can i do ? any help welcome.
82.113.x.x is your external IP address. Not every external IP will respond to a ping....this is a security measure. The 10.x.x.x IP is your internal IP address.
Reading this thread should explain further.
